I’d like to welcome you to the web site of the Niagara Frontier Board of Softball Umpires. We are affiliated with the New York State Softball Officials Organization, Inc. (NYSSOO). Our organization has over 50 dedicated umpires who officiate high school and grammar school games throughout Erie, Niagara and Orleans Counties.

We are dedicated to the training and development of professional umpires to ensure the safety for the players and to uphold the integrity of the game through rules enforcement. Our umpires come from all works of life including teachers, postal employees, police, small business owners, administrators and business managers.

We provide an open forum to encourage others to join our organization. We offer rookie training classes as well as a three year mentoring and training program. This all leads up to being State certified for Varsity contests. You immediately begin to work sub tier Varsity level games in the first year.
